The Official Draw confirmed 285 boxers from 41 nations are attending at the EUBC U22 European Boxing Championships in Roseto

The Technical Meeting, the Official Draw and the Opening Ceremony were held before the first bouts of the EUBC European U22 Boxing Championships in Roseto degli Abruzzi. The total number of U22 boxers is 285 in the first European continental event of the year including 92 ladies. The Grand Opening Ceremony was held in the beach with attractions and the flag parade.

The Technical Meeting and the Official Draw were led by the President of the European Boxing Confederation Mr. Franco Falcinelli, the Technical Delegate of the EUBC European U22 Boxing Championships Mr. Maxim Cherticovtsev of Moldova and the Executive Director of the European Boxing Confederation Mr. Alexandr Egorov.

The first competition day of the EUBC European U22 Boxing Championships is the 17th of June while the finals are scheduled to be held on the 24th. All of the competition day will be live streamed while the title contests are covered by the Italian national TV channel, the RAI.

Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and Wales sent their boxers to the event.

The men’s lightweight (60kg), light welterweight (64kg), welterweight (69kg), middleweight (75kg) and heavyweight (91kg) boxers will be in action in the first competition day. One of the most exciting contests will be held between Germany’s Cologne Boxing World Cup winner Deniel Krotter and Ireland’s Elite National Champion Kieran Molloy at the welterweight (69kg). The battle between Scotland’s Tyler Jolly and France’s Hugo Grau could be the next highlight of the first session.
